Reviewers

Every time a manuscript gets submitted for publication, we search our database for suitable peer reviewers, other students, to read the paper and provide feedback. The reviewers are given elaborate instructions and judge for example academic relevance, argument structure and form. The author uses this feedback to improve their article and make it publishable.

Want to become a reviewer?

LingUU cannot exist without its dedicated reviewers! We invite all enthusiastic BA, MA and former Linguistics students, and other students with a linguistic background, to register themselves as a reviewer.

Having signed up as a reviewer, you are not yet obliged to anything. Only when we receive a manuscript within your field of interest, we approach you to anonymously review this paper. If you agree to do so, you get a few weeks to send in your review report. You are also asked whether you would like to review a revised version of the paper, after the author has processed your feedback.

If you have any questions left about reviewing, feel free to send us an e-mail (linguu.gw@uu.nl). However, you’ll probably find the answer on our FAQ page.

Fill in the form below to be added to our reviewer database!
